Exchanging rocks sounds great. I've been cutting, cabbing and faceting now and would like to exchange my excess for new. I do love field trips.
I'd consider myself as "some Expericence", I can usually tell the difference of a Jasper from an agate. I can identify some of the properties of corundum, beryl, quartz, etc. I've still got a lot to learn (and I love experimenting with rocks).
Just a little over 1 year now.
“ If you are interested in Rocks, Stone and Minerals, everyone here has the same interest and are very friendly. Open to Spouses, friends and kids as well. Don't be shy. ”
I want to be invited when new Meetup Groups start about…

“ Thanks for the quick hello. I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. Hopefully I learn quickly. Are your meetings kid friendly? I see your next one is going to cover geodes. My kids bought a small box at the Smithsonian. They were small, little bigger than a bird egg, but my kids loved them. I am looking to meet people who can point us in the right direction and teach us something along the way. ”
“ Thanks for the welcome! I was just in the Patapsco State Park yesterday with 4 boyscout troups helping them earn their geology badge! They showed alot of interest, and so did the parents. Keep us posted with the meeting info, sounds like fun! ”
“ Thanks for the quick reply Wayne. We are actually in Severna Park, which is still nearby. I just printed a map showing Avalon, south of the Univ of Md Balt. Our visit will give us a chance to see Patapsco State Park for the first time too. ”
